Not sure what to say?

You were a great person to be around and are going to be missed greatly by family and friends - enjoy the reunion with Karen and keep watch over these kids!

I became friends with Karen the first day of her new school when she moved to Rye,NY in 5th grade. Our friendship remained until her death 6 years ago. I still remember meeting Matt for the first time, and seeing how happy and well matched the two of them were. My husband Jamie and I have enjoyed meeting up with them over the years and watching their growing beautiful family. We are saddened by the loss of a great father, family member and friend. Matt was gentle, kind and had a...

There’s a comfort knowing certain people are in this world, so when they’re gone, it leaves a giant void. I got the pleasure of working with Matt at the San Diego Wild Animal Park years ago. I have so many fond memories of his kindness, smile, jokes, and a lot of laughter! I will never forget you Matt. Rest in peace dear friend and may love surround your family always.

My deepest sympathies to Matt’s children and all of his family. His loss has left so many shocked and saddened. I will remember him fondly, will miss his wit and sense of humor. Please know others are thinking of you and praying for you at this very difficult time.

We are sorry for your loss. Matt will be remembered for his smile. Rest In Peace Matt.

Thoughts and prayers with heart felt sorrow for Matt's family. Matt will be remembered as a good friend. I will miss his smile, dry sense of humor and dirty coffee mug along with our friendly hallway banter. Catch and release. God's speed. DragonLady

Matt, you will always be remembered as a great friend. You were there for us during hard times even when you were enduring your own. May your family find peace in knowing they have a warm soul looking over them. You will forever be in our thoughts.

I will miss talking with Matt during my visits to DAK. His was a good natured soul whose company was always welcomed. I am also going to miss that "meaty" paw of his that he would offer whenever I came by. My sincere condolences to his family, both at home and at DAK. I know his presence was and now his absence is greatly felt by all who knew him.
