There’s a comfort knowing certain people are in this world, so when they’re gone, it leaves a giant void. I got the pleasure of working with Matt at the San Diego Wild Animal Park years ago. I will miss talking with Matt during my visits to DAK. His was a good natured soul whose company was always welcomed. I am also going to miss that "meaty" paw of his that he would offer whenever I came by. My sincere condolences to his family, both at home and at DAK. I know his presence was and now his absence is greatly felt by all who knew him.
