Not sure what to say?

So sorry to hear about Matt. I went to Portage Central with him from K-12. What a character!! And what a loss. My thoughts and love are with his family.

I just heard the sad news tonight at the Gun Lake Casino Blackjack dealer school. I want Mathew's family to know that you are in my prayers. My brother passed at the young age of 44. It is at these difficult times that we must surrender and to use a blackjack term "double down" on our faith and believe that Mathew is now surrounded by the love of our eternal father and is enjoying a peace and contentment that words cannot describe. May he rest in peace.

Krista,

Words can't express how sorry I was to get the news about your loss. Your family will be in my prayers and those of my family. I didn't know your husband, but from his reputation I know his loss is felt by many. I hope you can find some solace in the knowledge that his too short time on Earth enriched the lives of many, and that today he is surely seated by the right hand of God.

Krista, we are so very shocked to her of the sudden loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the children. Matt was not only our attorney, he became our friend. We pray that God gives you strength during this difficult time. Please let us know if there is anything that we can help you with. Love Julie & Andre Belous

I will always remember Matt as being the nicest person I've ever known. He always had a kind word and would never have spoken ill of another person. I pray that God's comfort and peace surround your family today and in the days and months to come.

I got to enjoy Matt's talents after meals & at other activities. Matt embodied the spirit of Van Buren Youth Camp . Rick & Lorianne Warmbold were apart of camp when Matt was there & I am so glad i could work a few weeks to help & to be a part of a great FAMILY experience. One of my other sons is Matt's age. I have no words to express my sadness for his family.

Matt was an amazing friend in high school-- He could always make me laugh. He was my debate partner-- for years. We were in plays together. He would always know how to cheer me up. My heart is hurting . I am keeping his family and friends in my prayers

I was a camper when Matt was on staff. I remember his calm nature and his wonderful spark. He was so funny and he always knew how to relate to kids. You remember that when you're a kid -- the people who really cared about you when you were little. Matt cared. I will never forget him. Thank you for his good life.

I was on the Portage Central swim team with Matt. He was always nice and had a smile on his face. Our coach used to call him "Smiling Matt". Keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers.
