To Matt's beloved family,

Please accept my sincere condolences. Although I never met you he spoke of all of you often. Please know how proud he was of all you, especially the joy he got from all of his nieces and nephews. He was a great man and anyone who ever met is better for having known him. I regret that we lost touch in recent years. I will remember him, and all the joy he brought into the world, fondly. He is truly a hero and will never be forgotten.
