Matthew David Mackey

Our beloved child Matthew went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 1, 2013. Matthew had an enormous love for life. He was passionate about family and friends. He attended McKinley Senior High School and was a member of Deliverance Christian Church. Matthew was preceded in death by his maternal great grandmother, Louise Cochran, maternal grandfather, Freddie McClain, paternal grandfather, Augustia K. Mackey III, paternal grandmother, Rose Mackey and sister, Roseanne Mackey; He leaves to cherish his precious memory his parents, Augustia K. & Tracey Mackey, IV, brother, Augustia K. (Courtney) Mackey V; sister, Sparkle Rainell Mackey; brother, Treyton LaMar Mackey; maternal great grandfather, Robert Cochran; maternal grandmother, Arie "Nell" Freeman;; uncles, Carlos (Brenda Smalls) McClain, Ronnie (Tasha) McClain, D'juan McClain and; nieces and nephews, Augustia K. Mackey VI, Axaysha Williams, Dominique Mackey, Kendall Mackey, Landon Mackey and an unborn niece, Genesis Mackey. Also surviving are special cousins, Jamaal and Jamon McClain whom he was very close with as well as a host of special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Mathew was adopted at age 2 and was recently reunited with his biological mother, Vivian Brock. He was preceded in death by his biological father, David Brock. He is also survived by his paternal grandmother, Mary Thompson and aunt, Karen McCloud. Friends may call Saturday from 10 to 11 AM at Union Baptist Church, 413 Cornelia Avenue N.E., Canton, Ohio. The funeral wil follow with Rev. Sherman Martin, Jr., officiating.
