MATTHEW MANTZ

Matt was a good kid and an awesome skater. I was stunned to learn of his passing. He was an enormous influence in the world of inline skating and was an inspiration to all-young and old alike. I will always be grateful for his contribution to the pages and success of X SK8 Magazine.

Matt - It's been three years since your passing, but my sister and I still remember seeing you and Zach rollerblading in your front yard at our Westleigh house on the corner. You were an inspiration to us when we were children and would watch you practice everyday to be the best version of yourself. You will be in our thoughts and memories forever - I am sorry we were not able to reconnect sooner with you. Hearing your no longer here hit us in the chest - right to our hearts. Our condolences...

Always cycle back to footage of him same age growing up skating posters on the wall vhs tapes constantly on studying all the innovative and was huge in motivating and just expanding on music I listened to. Grateful for his influence on the sport and on my life. Rip

Grew up in Scotland, where we loved watching Hoax II as young teenagers. Never forgotten RIP Matty Mantz.
