It's 1:52am and I'm sitting in the common room in my dorm down the street from where yours was after celebrating my 19th birthday, my first birthday in college, with Brooke and my new friends, wishing you were here to celebrate with me. im gonna miss you matty. you helped me so much and we do have great memories. i wish our time was longer but now your able to rest peacefully. you were not only an inspiration to me but to so many. love you tons and bunches

Matt was an inspiration to all that knew him both through Scouting and the other passions in his life. He will be missed by many. I offer my deepest condolences and wish his family the best through these difficult days.

matt i will miss you as a friend, a fellow scout, a teammate, and a brother at heart. i will always remeber the great tymes at ragged MT and pats peak when we went snowboarding and all the great times camping with the scouts. Matt was a great kid although his time with us was short he did so many things he loved to do he went through and finished scouts as an eagle scout, played football, and went scuba diving.
