I hired Matt in August 2019 at Ansys, as soon as I interviewed him it was clear he was someone special. Matt had an amazing mix of technical brilliance and a warm, approachable personality. He could tackle any problem, no matter how tricky, and he always did it with a calm, pragmatic approach. One thing I´ll never forget is his unique 'thinking look.' I was Matt's first grade teacher at Slingerlands Elementary School in 1991. I still remember him as a smart, sweet little boy who was out to make his mark on the world. Wow, it sure seems that he had a wonderful, dedicated life. I am so sad that his work was cut short as he was making a difference. It was a heart broken to any one relates or had known Matt for a time. Matt is a special man who is such intelligent, caring, responsible, liable....and down to earth person.
