Donna and Bill,

I just heard this morning about the loss of your son Matt. I am so very sorry to hear about this. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Today is Monday, January 25th and I just found out about Matt's acident about 30 minutes ago. My name is Tim Estes (Coach Estes) and I currently teach @ Bevill State Community College in Fayette, Alabama. I had the pleasure of teaching and coaching Matt @ Hoover High School. Needless to say, I am so hurt about this. Matt was an absolute terrific kid and man. He came by to see me at Bevill a couple of times, and I truly enjoyed being around him. Every single time I saw him he had a smile...

Donna and Bill,

We are so broken hearted for you. I can't imagine your pain at the loss of your son. May God keep you close in his arms. We are praying for you guys.

Bill, I heard of your family's loss and wanted to say that we are very sorry. I did not know any of your sons but I knew Bill back from school. We have you in our prayers.

I knew Matt through St Mark's Methodist, although I didn't really get to know him until I worked in Tuscaloosa. Our family has a UPS Store there, and Matt was a mailbox holder. It didn't matter how bad of a day I was having, he had a way of coming into the store and making everything "all right."

Matt Miller was truly awesome he cared for everyone no matter their color, no matter if they were rich or poor, troubled youth or good youth he just cared. Matt I am so grateful to have met you and I am glad that Jerry got to spend some time with you.

Bill and Donna,

I just saw this in the paper last night and I am so very sorry for your loss. You have raised four amazing sons and Matt touched many lives as he led by example - including those who have great memories of him through Troop 69. Our prayers and deepest condolences are with you and your family during this difficult time.
