Not sure what to say?

On 4 December 2023 was the sixth anniversary of Matthew's death. This hit me like bricks. I miss him so very, very much! He was a good, kind, gentle soul. I will love him the rest of my life.

My dearest brother, Matthew.. it’s been 3 years since you’ve gone to heaven. And I’ve missed you so much. I think of you, daily, and life isn’t the same. You are now a bright and shining star, watching over us all. I see you laughing, smiling, joking... you had the best sense of humor! How hard we would laugh! I was just telling a story of you, today, to a co-worker.. I can’t wait to see your smiling face, again, one day. You are a beautiful soul etched in my heart. I’m happy I haven’t...

Oh my dear friend! Thoughts about you have been so strong lately. So much so that I looked you up only to find you were gone. Thank you for being a part of my life and helping to send my life in a much better direction so long ago. We had so much fun back in the day. Your joy, your humor and your friendship have meant the world to me. You will always stay in my heart.

Here in Spokane several people have told me that they felt honoured to be invited to the celebration of Matty's life, which occurs on 20 January. I have been truly moved by this expression. Matty was sincerely liked by neighbours and others, here. I cry about his being gone, every day. He was my good, sweet, beautiful Matty! -- Michael Treleaven

Love and miss you always!

Matt my Son ,you are very much missed ,we know you sent us snow
from the heavens, Christmas Day , what a surprise , as you always
surprised us . There are just too many memories, all good , although
We had to pull you back a few times , your mother (Ali ) and I
are at a loss , to young too soon , my Son , I am sure we will be
getting together , on the other side , and once again hold hands and
stroll down tha yellow brick road ! Why , why ? You are still in our hearts...
