He leaves to cherish his loving memories a wife, Thelma Nichols; son Matthew M. (Gail) Nichols III; grandchildren, Crystal Wiley, Candace Moore and Matthew M. Nichols, IV; and two great -grandsons. Visitation, Friday July 21, 9 a.m. - 10:55 a.m. and Funeral Service to follow at 11 a.m. All services held at Friendship Baptist Church, 1355 Vollintine Ave. Burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Dr. Walter Green, Officiating .
