Not sure what to say?

Dr. Parrish was my director and mentor as a psychologist at Singer Center. His wealth of knowledge in community psychiatry and his vast patience in training me to be the best in my field, will forever be remembered. I can truly say he was one of the most influential people that affected so many lives and aided people's future. He was like a father to me.

He was a great uncle and fascinating person. He told amazing stories of his life experiences. We are so sad he is gone.

Dr. Parrish was an esteemed colleague and mentor. His many anecdotes about his service in the military were both enlightening and often amusing. He was a role model for those of us fortunate enough to share in his wisdom, brilliance and empathy. He has been sorely missed since he has been unable to return to our humble table at Tuesday Morning Seminar, where he was a welcome fixture for decades. Matt was one of the kindest, most caring, most understanding, most generous persons I have ever had the pleasure to meet. His passing is a loss to those who will never have the chance to experience someone who was truly a credit to the human species. I knew Matt as a colleague at Singer Mental Health Center and our friendship was one of the highlights of my 23 years tenure there. I will never forget him and the many, many kindnesses and generosities he selflessly gave to all he encountered,...

Dear John and Melanie,
My condolences, love Dusanka.

A very kind and thoughtful gentleman. I recall Dr. Parrish's visits to the Department of Psychiatry at University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford. He had a wealth of knowledge and so willing to share his life experiences. LaVerne Larson, Rockford,IL

We are so sorry to hear of Matt's demise. He was a lovely, intelligent, articulate gentleman who was so honest in his dealings and feelings for others. We always enjoyed seeing him and he would discuss literary subjects with Karen and medical and all sorts of other subjects with me. He will be greatly missed. He had so many wonderful experiences in life and had a very good run at life.

Marilyn & family - We are so sorry for your loss of a husband and father. Matt was a wonderful man, and we always enjoyed our visits with you when we lived in Rockford. Our deepest sympathy is extended to you during this difficult time.

Marilyn and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. It appears that Matthew was quite accomplished and well as provided such a service to our country and community. I am sorry I didn't know him.
