Not sure what to say?

Gone too soon. Matthew I will always remember the good times we had at the Rez, and around town. You will be remembered my Linda and I. Rest in peace my friend.

Just found out about Matt's passing. One of the nicer persons I've ever met in my life. I first met Matt when he started with Fleet Businees Products as the company I worked for was a vendor. Very first impression was that of a friendly, easy-going, honest man. Also found out he was a heckuva a hockey player. Can never forget how many times he graciously offered his company's season tickets to Whaler games. Saw many NHL teams play at the Hartford Civic Center thanks to him. Whenever he came...

I knew Matt as he full filled his dream of driving a big rig. He made a nightly trip to Chelsea to pick up product from Kayem Foods. I enjoyed listening to Matt's stories of his adventures. He was truly an admirable human being. My heart ached at the news of his passing. I can imagine the heartache his family is feeling. My condolences to all of you. His passing must have left a huge void. I'm certain he is resting easy in the company of God and his dad.

To Matt's Family & Friends, Unquestionably, one of the best forwards I ever teamed with on the soccer pitch. More importantly, Matt was an even greater human being. My brother Doug and I thought the world of him. I extend to Matt's family my sincerest condolences. Matt R.I.P. Ken Chapin

Matt and i were hockey teammates at Williston. He was an enthusiast athlete, a true friend, and an amazing citizen. Matt had more love in him than his body could hold - He was a favorite among coaches and players alike. We were supposed to get together for golf this spring and i will forever miss that outing. Rest in peace Matty !

Played soccer with Mattey back in the 70's. He was a class act and one proud West Side guy. Thoughts and prayers to his family! He was the real deal.

To the Peck family. I found this picture of my brother Bill and Matty. Matty was invited to my sister's house for a gathering after my Mother's passing in 2012 we all enjoyed Matty that day. Sincere condolences to family and friends of Matty he will never be forgotten.

I had the good fortune to spend time with Matt growing up in West Side and then during his time with me at the Williston Northampton School. We met again at our 50th class reunion in 2019, and he had the same positive, charismatic, warm and inspirational personality I so fondly remember. Matt gifted these good values to us all, and I am thankful these memories will continue to inspire and live on within each of us.

So sad! A wonderful person from a wonderful family. Remember him with all the joy he brought to you
