Not sure what to say?

Dad-
Well, this is the last day we'll be able to share our thoughts with you via "Online Technology". However, we'll all continue to talk with you and share our thoughts through our prayers and through our hearts. You will ALWAYS be apart of our lives! A sincere "Thank You" for all you've done to set great examples which will prepare us for the years ahead.
As we've all said before, continue to watch over us from above and guide us along the way. As you can see, we need it!

Dad
Just checking in with you today to see how you're doing. I'm sure you're doing ok since now you get to see many of your 'ol friends, sit around drink coffee and talk about the Sox.
Boy I wish we could turn back time and do many things differently but that is not possible. I will see you again, I know but having you here in person instead of spirit would make everything better. I often ask your picture for advice on what you would do in different circumstances and I hope I am...

It's been a year since you've been gone and I miss you more each day. The kids and grandkids miss you so much too. Alot of your friends and co-workers are up with you now so I'm sure you are busy making coffee.

"Your resting place I visit and place flowers there with care.
But no one knows the heartache when I turn and leave you there.
Your memory is my keepsake and I have you in my heart.
There will come a day when we won't be apart."

I'm sometimes...

Dad-
I can't believe that a year has past since you left us. It seems like yesterday, yet it seems like an eternity. I think of you daily and in several situations, find myself living by your example.
As you can see, I now have a dog, Jack. He brings such joy in my life, much like Champ and Captian brought to yours. We go to the same vet, and I find myself thinking, "What did dad do back then?"
My role has certainly changed around your house and I must say, you could've...

Dad,
It was one year ago that our world was shattered. I still can't believe you are never coming back. I keep waiting for you to come upstairs from your chair or inside the house from the garage but it doesn't happen. They say the first year is the hardest, it's HORRIBLE! and that time heals the hurt, I don't think that will ever happen. I miss you so much. I keep thinking about the hospital and how one day you were fine and the next you were gone. There were so many holidays,...

Hey Grandpa!!
So I just wanted to tell you that I got into Purdue University today!! Man I can't even believe it! I wish you could be here to tell you in person so I could see that huge smile on your face and you give me bear hug! But I bet you probably knew I got in before I did. =] Also, IM GOING TO STATE FOR POMS! I knew we could do it. I remember this time last year sitting downstairs with you telling me to just keep working hard and don't give up. That who cares about the other...

Grandpa,
I don't even know where to begin. So much has changed since you've been gone. It seems like yesterday when I would spend every weekend at your house and you would always make me my favorite meal. Grilled Cheese Sandwiches. I've been looking at colleges. I was accepted to Saint Xavier with a scholarship. I also have an interview with Purdue at the end of the month. You have no idea how much I wish you were here. Im so afraid I'm going to make the wrong decision and let everyone...

Dad,
I can't believe it's already been 6 months today since you left us. I MISS you so much EVERYDAY, it's so hard. Going to your house is not the same, but you would be very proud at how everyone has pitched in to help mom. The Sox are not doing very well, but then again you know that. The kids miss you terribly but know you are guiding them from above.
Wish you were here with us in person and not just in spirit.
LOVE YOU VERY MUCH ALWAYS WITH ALL MY HEART!
Cathy
XOXO

Dear Peters Family:
I just wanted to extend my late condolences on the loss of Mr. Peters. We too have felt the loss of our father recently as well; so I feel your pain; but knowing that they are no longer suffering may offer us some peace. I have many fond memories from the Midlo Little League years with our dads. Now they are together in Heaven and perhaps can start a league of their own. God Bless you all.
