Not sure what to say?

Meghan,
Today I went to visit my mother at St. Joseph's cemetery, and passed Matt along the way!!! All of my love and prayers to you, your children, and everyone in Matt's life!

"Matt's Promise"

He was being called home to the Promised land
So he left with Jesus hand in hand
His family was there and as he walked away,
He turned & said “We’ll be together someday.”
“Until that time keep me close in heart,
And realize that we are not apart.
I am with you eternally,
as God promised me his son would be.
We will watch over you each day & night,
until the day you see the “light”
Calling you to the Heavens above
Where Jesus & I will...

A Short Season

He had his own kind of spring this year--
Not of leaf-laden trees and flowerful gardens,
But one of children playing on the grass--a wife close by sharing.
His spring was often silent, strained, one of seeming solitude, sometimes broken by rapid bursts of energy from those around him.
A stillness in his eyes evoked the sadness of a stream of goodbyes,
And yet, the wonder at his luck of a love-filled life.

Meghan,
I am so very sorry for your loss. You have consistently been in my thoughts and prayers. I know you are strong and will get through this difficult time.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

These words were given to me by a very good friend who lost her mother recently; it's called "Togetherness"...

Death is nothing at all. I have only slipped away into the next room. Whatever we were to each, that we're still. Call me by me old famaliar name, speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken...

Dear Meghan, Mattie, Sydney, Shelia and Tom,
There isn't anyone that I have known, who was as courageous and loving as Matt. It has been my honor to love him and to be involved in his life and the lives of his family. May we all follow his lead. He has indeed left this world a better place by his presence. Blessings and love.

I lost a very close friend to ALS over 4 years ago. We have know the Packer girls and family for almost 10 years now. When we heard about Uncle Matt we made a lifelong decision to do whatever we could to raise money to fight ALS and loosen the financial burden of those suffering and their families. It is a very cruel and hard thing to watch. I only met Uncle Matt and his wife once at an ALS walk in Atlanta. I feel like I know them through the love and devotion of Julie, Sarah and Kayla. ...

Syd, Matty, and Mugs~
I love you all so much, and think about you every day. it's so hard to see everyone like this, but the only thing you can do is.....Never Give Up.. Love from everyone in Atlanta who ever walked for you
