Graveside service for Matthew Lynn Pugh, 27, of Decatur will be Monday, August 8, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Dement Cemetery in Limestone County with Kim Upton officiating and Ridout's Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Pugh, who died Friday, August 5, 2011, was born October 8, 1983, in Morgan County to Byron Pugh and Jana Birdwell Pugh. Matthew loved cars as did his father. Racing was a love hobby. He loved mechanics and had a great talent for building cars. He had a lot of love for his family and friends. Matt was one of the most generous, caring and loving men his family and friends have ever known. He had a sweet spirit and willing heart and will be greatly missed by us all.

Survivors include his wife, Jamie Pugh; two brothers, Jarred Picklesimer and Hunter Picklesimer, both of Decatur; one sister, Abigail Pugh of Atlanta, Ga.; father, Byron Pugh and his wife, Jennifer, of Atlanta, Ga.; mother, Jana Picklesimer and her husband, Fred, of Decatur; and his grandparents, John and Shirley Pugh of Elgin Crossroads and Charles and Libby Birdwell of Priceville.

Pallbearers will be friends.

I have just now read this guest book, and I want to Thank everyone for your thougts and prayers. This has been a very hard time for me, and the rest of the family. Matt was a great Husband to me for 4 years, and he was a great friend, son, brother,grandson, cousin, and nephew who is missed by so many.. I love you baby ill see you soon!

May God be with you. I pray your faith will bring you peace after this devastating loss. Matt's kind nature touched many and we are all fortunate to have known him. His legacy lives on.
