Elizabethton, TN – Matthew “Matt” Robert Quillen – Age 39


Matthew “Matt” Robert Quillen, 39 of Elizabethton, TN went to be with the Lord on November 17, 2025 following a fatal motorcycle accident. Matt was born on September 16, 1986 to the late Bobby and Mildred Ramey Quillen.  He was a proud United States Marine Corp Veteran. Matt loved his family with his whole heart and enjoyed riding motorcycles with his son, Izzy and spending time with his daughter and “apple of his eye”, Eden.  In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his infant son, Bentley Xayne Quillen; and his infant brother, Bradley Quillen.


He is survived by his wife, Samantha Cuevas; daughters, Eden Rayne Quillen, Nevaeh Garcia and Mara Garcia; son, Izzy Cuevas; his fur-babies, Iris and Roxy; brother, Christopher Ryan Quillen (Brittany); nieces, Gorda Rodriguez, Adeline Quillen and Bri Dugger; nephew, Alexander Quillen; as well as a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.


The family will receive friends on Monday, November 24, 2025 at Colonial Funeral Home from 12 Noon – 2:00 PM.  Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor David Rouse officiating.  Eulogies will be by Nevaeh Garcia and Mara Garcia.  Interment will be at Carter Cemetery in Fort Blackmore, VA.  Pallbearers will be Christopher Quillen, Izzy Cuevas, Brandon Solomon, Aric Wilburn, Darryl Dykes, Matthew Collins, Britt King and Eli Lonesdale.


Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
