Matthew Rhue was a pillar of the community. He inspired us "young'uns" who were growing up in the projects to do better and to never forget each other despite what barriers were in front of us. How could we dispute the logic? After all, he was there in the midst of us all, modeling and supporting in word and deed. I hadn't seen his actual face in a few years and yet somehow now that I know that he is no longer there sitting in the shade in front of his place of business and greeting...

Richie, Bernard, Lisa and to the rest of the Rhue family. My prayers go out to you on the going home of your father and my mentor, Matthew (Bubba) Rhue. I will surely miss him because he was always there for any and all of us growing up in Conway. He is a rock in our community and his legacy will live on. I praise God for having the honor of even knowing him. I know that he is safely in the arms of Jesus right now. God be with you all.
