Dear Barbara and Mark,
Prayers and thoughts from our family to yours on the loss of your son Matthew, truly a fallen hero. I have trying to find the right time and words to offer as a small measure of condolence. Our son Paul is a Combat Controller at Hurlburt, and he attended the Memorial there for your son as he knew him. Another of our sons, James, was an Air Force Academy grad from class of 2006 who we buried at Arlington almost 3 years ago as he lost his life in Afghanistan April 3...

Matthew was doing what he loved as an Air Force officer, unafraid to serve on the front lines. His loss is a loss for our country.
The Trapp family is still mourning the loss of Matthew. He touched our lives with his graciousness, humor, and dedication. We loved him as a son and brother. Our prayers are with Barb and Mark and the rest of Matthew's family, especially with the approach of his birthday and the Christmas season. We - like all who knew Matthew - are better people because of him.

Matthew, thinking of you today, and also yesterday, saw some previous co-workers yesterday and shared with them your death and they like others were shocked and did not know, rest in peace my brother, and again thanks

The Welch family loved Matthew. He will be missed, but will remain forever in our hearts. Our deepest condolences, Mark and Barb. The years in Albuquerque at Annunciation and Pius are filled with memories of Matthew. He was an intelligent, hardworking, athletic young man with integrity. We feel blessed to have known him, especially Christine, who benefited profoundly from knowing Matthew.

Hello,
We would like to express our deepest condolences and also let the Roland Family know that we recently made a small donation to the Combat Control Association in honor of Matthew D. Roland US Air Force Captain. We recognize that this is a humble tribute, but we wanted you to know that it is heartfelt and made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals in the youth hockey community and beyond. We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you strong.
Sincerely,
Charlie...
