Not sure what to say?

Dear Francine, I was saddened by the news of your loss.I will always have fond memories of your Dad loking up from his paperwork and smiliing as we played with our "babies" and cheering us on as we swung at softballs-and missed! Sincerely,Susie Young

My family offers our condolences and prayers to the entire Ryan family.

My grandfather, Carl Capers, played baseball with 'Matty' Ryan back in the day. Race relations were different then but Matty always treated my grandparents with respect. They always had a special bond. Years later Matty was good to me as well.

Today, my grandmother, Kathryn Capers, has as the same respect for Matty. At 102 years old, she is grateful to Matty and she prays for the Ryan family...

Our condolences to the Ryan Family, he was the greatest and a long time friend to our family.

I remember waiting on Matty when I was a younger woman working at the famous Keg Room. He was a very good friend of my fathers. I remember my Dad telling me stories of when my grandfather used to get mad at my Dad when he was very young, that he would go running to the Ryans home and jump in bed between Matty and his brother Franny. He was always welcomed there and had many fond memories. They remained good friend over the years until my father passed and Matty gave his final farewell...

My sister Doris forwarded Matty's obituary. My condolences to the Ryan family. My father knew Matty for almost his entire life and considered him a good friend. Matty was an inspiration to me when he became the District Attorney (I was in 9th grade).
In 1987 my wife and I met Matty in Washington DC and had a picture taken with him, (I was then the Gloucester County NJ Prosecutor)That picture still hangs in my office.

Another truly great individual gone.
