Matthew F. Schafnitz

Matt Schafnitz was truly a gentleman and an amazing individual. He loved life and always had a smile on his face. I enjoyed the working relationship and friendship that we had over the past 18 years and will miss him dearly!

My deepest condolences to the Schafnitz family. Matt was very special and can never be forgotten.

I met Matt in 1990 when Alex and Max started school at Our Lady Queen of Angels School in Newport Beach. Alex was in pre-k and Max soon would be starting school. Always a gentleman, kind and gracious. I will forever miss my friend. Our friendship went beyond teaching his children. You made this world a better place Matt, rest in peace, you are loved by so many.

I got to know Matt when I was marketing in South OC in 2008 to 2010. He was always a gentleman with a smile and he treated me well. I have often thought of him as I traveled the 5 FWY San Diego as we passed his office. He will be missed.

I have worked for the company for almost 39 years and still do and have known the family prior to that since my mom also worked for the company for over 20 years. We all shared great memories and will cherish those forever. Will miss you.

Matt hired me as their Claim Manager in 1981 and still with the company today. I am so blessed and honored to have had his support all these years and also cherish his friendship. He exuded such joy every day. You will be so missed my friend.

I worked with Matt for 15 years very closely. We had ups and we had downs, but it always ended with a hug. He made work family and I will always be grateful to him for that.
