I think of Matt often and the fun times we shared. I miss him

I met Matt when I was 12 years old when he and his family moved to Richards Road in Melbourne Beach. We hung out for years and when I was 16 I went on his motorcycle for a ride. we used to play darts in his parents garage and when I got older, we still hung out and partied together. We had a long friendship even though we didn´t see each other all of the time. When we did reconnect, it was fun, and I loved him very Much. I miss you my dear friend Matt

Dear Gail and Rob,
I still think about Matt often and it still breaks my heart that he has died and most especially how he died.
I befriended Matt when I was 12 years old as he was a merchant marine. He would come to his parents house in between jobs and we would talk, play darts in his parents garage and sometimes I would go for a ride on his motorcycle. Dear Gayle, Rob, and children, We are all so saddened by the loss of Matt. Our hearts ache with you.
Matt and I played together as children, we tested life's boundary's through our teens, and had so much fun together as young adults. Later we shared some of the more meaningful times in our lives, as we started our own families.
Time, and life eventually took us in different directions, but we would get together for the occasional family gathering or those memorable Nelson...

I will miss Matt so much. I will never forget how he and his friend Brian sacrificed coming down here to Miami after Hurricane Andrew and helped us rebuild our home. I was with a four year old and a 20 month old, and 8 months pregnant. Brian and Matt were a blessing from heaven. He was even here when I went into labor. They spent 3 months here during the week away from their families. I will always be grateful! I hope you are at peace. Love and miss you!

I remember playing with dinosaurs with Matt when we were about 7-8 years old in Spring Lake Heights. It was in Matt's yard in the grass and we had a real elaborate setup. It was a brief time in both of our lives but happy child memories for me. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
