Matthew Sides

On the anniversary of his passing, I still remember Matt fondly, and know that jersey I lent him long ago, and he returned so many decades later, will always represent a wonderful part of Matt that I knew.

I'm deeply saddened to read about Matt's passing. I recall riding with him and mentoring on cycling when he was in high school. I lent him my racing jersey when I left town, and when I came back decades later, he recognized me and returned the jersey. I always liked Matt. Glad to have been a part of his life. I send my deepest regrets and condolences to his family.

Spending time on the bike with Robin and Matthew was always cathartic for me. Matt was an ever present source of encouragement and calm whether through his conversation or just his general demeanor. I will miss him.

I'm grateful for the miles spent on a bike with Matthew and Robin, and am so sorry for your loss. Biggest condolences to the Sides family.
