Not sure what to say?

I have to say Matt has an uncanny manner of putting things in perspective and putting you in your place. I received a notification e-mail on Friday February the 12th informing me the guest book was to be taken off line. I was under a great deal of pressure due to project deadlines and upcoming presentations for work and felt completely overwhelmed. I received this e-mail and the subject line was "Matthew Everett Slate". I immediately opened and was sent to the guestbook. I was reminded of...

He Only Takes the Best

God saw you getting tired,
and a cure was not to be,
so He put His arms around you
and whispered, "Come with Me."
With tear filled eyes we watched
as you suffered and slowly faded away;
although we loved you deeply,
we could not will you to stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
hard working hands at rest,
God broke our hearts to show us,
"He Only Takes the Best."

I love you Matthew.

If we could have a Lifetime wish and one dream that could come true
we would pray to God with all our hearts just to see and speak to you.
A thousand words won't bring you back, we know because we've tried. Neither will a million tears, we know because we've...
