Matt is my brother, and our family is still in shock because of his death. He found such joy and satisfaction in his work as a doctor. Our family finds solace in the countless stories of how compassionate and caring he was with his patients. His absence will always be felt, but our memories will continue to bring us happiness.

Dr. Smiley took care of my grandmother (Florene Dennett) with lots of caring and compassion. He was so good at the bed side manner and answering our questions. He always was very "smiley". Thanks for sharing such a caring man with us. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.
