Matt was a great advocate. My favorite Matt memory was a day when he was trying too hard for an overly generous outcome. I told him another word and the deal would go backwards. He went to confer with his client and returned with a legal pad. On it he had written "not another word will I speak" ... he then started flipping pages advocating yet again in written words.
