Obituary
Steffens, Matthew W. Age 30, of Monticello, died in a accident on 8-20-2008. Survived by parents, Wayne and Laurie Steffens; sister, Amy (Shane); grandparents, Willard and Lenore Johnson; a large extended family and many friends. Visitation will be Sun 4 PM to 8 PM at Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel of Monticello. Funeral Mon. 1 PM at Faith Lutheran Church, 12449 Clementa Ave NW, Monticello. Further visitation one hour prior to funeral at the church on Mon. Interment Lakeside Cemetery. Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel 763-295-2918

Wayne, Laurie,and Amy,
We sure enjoyed getting to know your entire family through 4-H in the 80's. We found Matt to be a fella with a broad smile and loved getting away with a few antics at the Wright County fair! He was also a great 4-H Ambassador..
Our breath was sucked from our lungs when we read about the accident in the St. Cloud Times. It sounded as though he was near your home.
We extend our deepest sympathy to each of you.

Matt will truly be missed. I also was very happy to see the great outcome at the wake yesterday. My deepest sympathy goes to his family. I will definately miss seeing him and he will be in my thoughts every day. He was a very warm hearted, and kind man, and always had a big hug and a huge smile every time I saw him.
