Matt was an outstanding man to work with he was a true leader and inspiration to all who worked with him. I worked with Matt for about 15 years before his retirement and was able to see the many sides of him, his compassion while holding a dying man in his arms, his humor while judging our halloween contests and his seriousness when business was at hand. I am glad that he was able to retire and spend time with his wife and his love of fishing. He left some mighty big shoes to fill at Ulta...

Matt was a wonderful mentor, friend, and boss to me for many years. He was always appreciative and supported his staff during our time together. He spoke often if retiring and getting a lake house with Ellen and just fish all day long. Although we lost track of each other after I left, he called me the day he was retiring.
