Not sure what to say?

My condolences to the entire Turner family and the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School community. Matt was a friend and former roommate of mine at Mercyhurst. He was a lot of things to many of us. He was funny, smart, and very generous, which are qualities I know he got from his parents. One of the best times I had during college was when all of his roommates stayed with his family in Butler, Pa. We got to meet Matt´s loving parents and his brothers, and see the city where he grew up....

I knew from the time I first met Matt at the pool my daughters were really going to thrive under his direction. He is remembered as being compassionate, funny and knowledgeable. My daughters liked that he pushed them to be the best they could be in and out of the pool. My deepest condolences to the Turner Family on this significant loss.

Mr. Turner was one of the best teachers at BHBL. He was so passionate about history and really knew how teach in a way that reached all of his students. AP world with him was the best history class I've ever taken! He was truly one of those teachers you looked forward to seeing every day in the halls, and felt like you could reach out to for help if you needed it. RIP Mr. Turner you will be greatly missed but never forgotten!

Mr. Turner was a fantastic teacher, who made AP world so much fun. I didn't appreciate it until recently, but he made sure to include

My husband and I both had Mr. Turner for history class about 15 years ago. He was not only our favorite teacher but helped inspire us to study history in college. I recall his sense of humor and kindness in class, as well as his overwhelming positivity and the fact that he was a really genuine and kind person. We were both gutted to hear this news. Our sincere condolences to your family.

Both of my sons had Mr.Turner for history class and one had him for home room. He truly embodied what a great teacher is. I'm sure his presence at BHBL will be missed. My sympathies to you all.

My sincerest sympathies to the family in your loss. You will all be in my prayers. Gerry Hall ( friend of Karen Miller & past member of St Andrew's in Butler).
