Not sure what to say?

I am saddened to learn of Dr Wood's passing. I always knew him as a tough, hard nosed, no nonsense guy and I always respected that. He always seemed to carry himself well. Some of my memories of him include meeting he and Bryan at the Nautilus fitness club on the blvd. in Chapel Hill for a workout, and he would occasionally stop by the store where I worked as a teenager and I enjoyed listening to he and a retired co worker discuss the military issues of the day. Lorrrie lots of love

Lorrie, I am so sorry to read about Matt's passing. Remembering you in our thoughts and prayers.

Sending my sincere condolences on the loss of Dr Wood. Never had I enjoyed a job as I did with him. I was his assistant from 1974-1979 and I only left because I married one of his dental students! "I´m some spring chicken and gettin ready to join Jesus" were my 2 favorite quotes that always made the patients laugh. He was such a fine man and it was my privilege to call him friend. My condolences to the extended Family Coach Wood was a great teacher and Coach. His regimen was full of discipline, principals, and repetition - readiness squared. Playing 3 rec-sports over many seasons with Coach Wood was a fine experience - none better. Lawson Oldenburg Hillsborough, NC

As a member of several of Dr. Wood's "undefeated" little league baseball teams I cannot capture in words the impact his coaching had on my life. I hope the family of Dr. Wood has comfort in knowing he touched so many lives in such a positive way.

Lorrie, I´m so sorry for your loss. Dr.Wood was an amazing man and dentist. I´m honored to have known him and work with him in the Pros. department. I so loved his dry since of humor. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Debby and Fil

I had the opportunity to come to know Dr. Wood while working in the Dental Faculty Practice in 1976. Dr. Wood was always in a good mood and upbeat. He would always have some joke or saying and when you talked to him you left in a great mood! He loved dentistry and his patients and was someone to look up to! He will be missed.

Our sincere condolences to Dr. Matt Wood and his family. Dr. & Mrs. Irvin B. Sherman Avon by the Sea, NJ
