Not sure what to say?

Dear Matt,

You were a kind and generous friend - always willing to share what you know, always willing to help. You were almost giddy to introduce us to the new Macintosh PC's at Wilkes - the first with a mouse and it's black and white screen! Humble, full of joy, kind, gentle - qualities of a real man. It was a privlidge to know you.

To Patsy and all of the wonderful Zukoski siblings,

I wish I knew some magic words to make you feel better. Just know that after I left Matt's funeral, I have tried to be a better person - more patient and caring like Matt. I try to think of what Matt would do in situations instead of only thinking of myself. I'm sure I'm not the only person who feels that way. So if anything good can come of this, it's that everyone who knew Matt will try to be a better person.

I'll always...

Mary Jo & family,
So sorry to hear of the loss of your brother. My prayers and thoughts are with you at this time. Please know that I am thinking of you. I am sorry that I could not make the wake, I only just found out today.

Zukoski Family,
May God help you through this terrible time. Take some consolation in knowing how much Matthew was loved by so many. How great to have had such a wonderful son, brother and friend.

Matt, I will miss you so very much. It is hard to believe you will not be here in body, but you are here in spirit. I think of you every day, and I am sad. I know someday we will meet again, and that gives me solace. May God bless and keep you. Later,...

To Amy and her family,
There are no words that can alleviate all of your pain. Just know that we will keep you in our prayer. I'll remember Matt as this tall and kind guy who drove his mom all the way from Wilkes to VA so she could be at her grand daughter birthday. From what I am reading, this was just who Matt was, always.

Dear Dear Matt,
Am having a hard time putting words down, to even begin to describe what a hole you have left in our lives. Horace and I are so sad and lost, to know you have left us after touching our lives so deeply and wonderfully with all your kindness, gentleness, humor and antics. Have so many wonderful memories, so many, from those graduate school years at Virginia Tech, when Horace brought you home to meet me the first time. What a giant of a human being you are! I know we will be...

Matthew,

My dearest cousin, you were truly a one of a kind person. We all feel such a loss that you are no longer here with us but believe me you will never be forgotten. I always enjoyed your sense of humor like how you always tempted Aunt Mary to eat a piece of chocolate anytime we were in a hospital or how you would tease your Mom. I always thought you had inherited Grandpop's sense of humor. It must have rubbed off all those years you lived together. I'll always remember how...

To the Zukosk Family:
Matt was an inspiration to others, as he was to those who knew him best. We were blessed to have Matt as our friend.
