MATTIE MAE BURDINE

I met Mattie as we were both teenagers. She lived briefly with my grandmother (Mrs. Vannie Roberson) My daughter, Robyn Smith met and admired Mattie's mother. Mrs. Thelma Burdine. I will miss our talks on the phone and wish I had gone to Tennessee to meet Mattie in person. A lovely and charming woman, a true Christian and we always found something amusing to talk about in our conversations. Will miss her. May she rest in peace and love. Always, Xavier Holt ....
