My Family that grew up with Love for Mattie Dumas and her family

Mrs. Dumas is a Matricarch of the entire Fernwood Family. She will always be remembered for her warm smile and soft kind voice to all the neighborhood kids. Corky, Mark, Janet and Leslie were the children from her family that I ran up and down Fernwood with. You are so blessed to have her as a Mother and wonderful lady she will always be remembered for. Thank you for sharing her with us on Fernwood. We are so blessed to have had one of God's special Mothers in our midst. I Love you All!

I am Miss Mattie Dumas Granddaughter in Charlotte NC. My name is DaNeil Thornton..Daughter of Charles Tippit.....I don't know this side of family but I know she is up in a better place and I will keep her in my heart. God protect her please and keep her at Peace.....with Love DaNeil,CaPreece and DaShonda

Mrs. Dumas was just one of many neighborhood Mothers. The Lord told her it was time for her to come home. May she rest in eternal peace. Vernon and Barbara Henderson, Mount Dora,Florida.

Mrs. Dumas was one of the Mother's of my childhood neighborhood. All the children that grew up on our block in Toledo, Ohio back then knew her. We were one big happy family. Thank you for the good old days! I'll always keep the memories!

I will cherish those many memories of Mrs.Dumas, when her son and all the neighborhood children played games on Fernwood, Palmwood, and Kroger's parking lot. We all will miss her smiles.
