Mattie Oveta Tabor Higginbotham

Dear Judy and Janie, Very sorry to hear of the loss of Oveta. She and Floyd were always so very helpful and careing to my Mother and Dad as well as our family. Oveta was my Sunday School teacher many years ago. I spoke with your Mom last spring about the times they let me hunt arrowheads on their property, and she was very cheerful. Dear Judy and Janie, You know I am sorry for your loss. Oveta was very special to me, in particular when I was a very young boy growing up in West Texas. I have many fond memories of visiting with Floyd and Oveta prior to doing some bird hunting on their land. You have to be from West Texas to appreciate the beauty of the land and the good hearts of the people. Oveta and Floyd were as good as it gets. We can only hope and pray that some day we are good enough to be with them at the right...
