Not sure what to say?

I will always have fond memories of Mrs. Raynes. She taught me in 1st grade and I remember her as always treating everyone the same. She had no "Teacher's Pets". She was so worried when I had pneumonia and had to miss a lot of school. She was so kind to me when I came back to school. She was a SPECIAL LADY!

Mrs. Raynes was my first grade teacher in the 1953-54 school year. I have so many wonderful memories of that year in my life, because of her and because of my school friends. She was a lovely, caring person and always enjoyed having me drop by her home with my children when they were pre-schoolers and we would be visiting my parents for the weekend.

Mr. Raynes was, of course, the superintendent during all my
school years. He also taught all the high school math classes....

Beth,
I am so sorry to hear about your mother. I wasn't able to make it to the funeral since I have been housebound with an illness since Christmas.
My thoughts and prayers are with you; I know how very tough it has been.
Hope to see you soon.
Love, Coral

Ann Zene taught at Crandall from January 1960 until May 1961. Mr. Raynes was superintendent and Mrs. Raynes taught in elementary. They were very sweet people.
