Mattie Ruth Gardette Russell

Teeter, Paul and Calvin, I wanted to express my sincere sympathy to all of you. Ms. Ruth is one of the original "Mothers of the Village" as I personally think of the mothers that lived in Woolman Oval, which was certainly a village raising children. Although, it's been a while since I seen Ms. Ruth, memories of her laughter and jolly personality still remain. The little memories of Ms. Ruth will help to comfort you and bring you peace. As a child growing up, you know Ms. Ruth didn't play when it came to respecting your elders, but once I became an adult we became friends. I remember as a
Girl Scout trying to hurry up and get to Ms. Ruth to place an order from me, she always placed BIG orders!
