Not sure what to say?

A funny funny guy!

Deepest sympathy, Thank you for your creativity with National Lampoon and the production of Animal House. You gave an entire generation so much laughter and satire. I hope you and your God are laughing heartily!

I would like to express my deepest sympathies for the loss of your loved one, who will be remembered for his contribution to film industry. May you find comfort and strength in God during this time of sorrow.

I would like to be able to say that Matty was a really great guy, like his brother Donald who died years before Marty. Donald served during ww2 as a merchant seaman, making several convoy crossings of the Atlantic and Baltic, and surviving a torpedoing by a German uboat. Matty served during this same period as a member of the U.S. Coast Gusrd stationed in the U. s. Donald was an affable family man whose warmth and friendship was readily extended to others.

My condolences to the Simmons family and friends. May you be comforted by God and fond memories, today, tomorrow, and always

I am Rodger Bumpass. My deepest condolences to Michael and Kate and to all family members. We have lost a shining star in all of our lives. Matty gave me my start in show business in 1977 and the debt can never be repaid. His warmth and generosity are the traits I most remember. He was very much like a father to me and I am greatly saddened by his passing. His legacy is broad and will endure, especially in the hearts of those of us who love him. May you all be comforted in this moment.

My prayers for you Kate, best wishes and my sympathies. Amazing how your dad lived his life and thrived to his passing. My condolences to his earlier family, maybe we'll meet after covid-19.

You were such a gift. May mercy peace and comfort be with the family.
