Tony and Pat - Maudie was so much fun just one of the gang from McAllen that showed up at South Padre Island at the Sea Ranch every weekend. A true good ole gal and we loved her for it. Dennis and Judy Dobbs (McAllen, TX)

Some of my fondest memories are of summers spent in McAllen with Grandma Maudie and family. She was a remarkably kind woman who will be dearly missed.

Muadie taught us all what it was to live a life with no regrets. She made every day count and made each one of us know that we counted to her. She understood that there was greatness, even in modest lives. She considered herself modest; we considered her great. She wasn't the wealthiest or most famous person we knew, but she might be the most beloved.

Grandma Maudie was my hero in so many ways. She helped me through a broken heart once in a way only she could have done. I always thought she must know the true meaning of life and there was so much to learn from her. I am sad she is gone from us, but happy for the heavenly reunions I'm sure she's enjoying.
