I was saddened to hear of your wife/mothers untimely passing. She was a remarkable lady. I want you all to know how much I admired her. She truly was my HERO.
God be with you all,

To all the Finnerans, and to everyone who loved Maura: We were devastated to hear the news that she died. Reading the comments from those who knew her as an adult resonated completely with me, who knew Maura as a girl growing up in Ridgewood -- that same exuberant spirit carried her through 53 amazing years. People will indeed smile when they hear her name ... with any luck, as brightly as she always did. I am so, so sorry for your loss.

Offering our deepest condolences during this time.

Maura Marden was an incredible woman. She did everything in life at 200%. She will be missed by everyone in the swimming community throughout the State of Connecticut. Her greatest legacy are the three wonderful young man that she raised. Maura will live thru her boys forever. There was no better mother than Maura. God rest her soul, she will never be forgotten and people will smile when they hear her name.
With deepest sympathy,
Kip, Felicia, Robbin, Matt and Lizzie Watson

Maura Marden was a very special person and a great supporter of Prep swimming. The Prep swimming family has lost one of its most ardent members. Maura, may the Lord welcome you home. We, the remaining members of the Prep swimming family, will miss you and never forget you.
