Not sure what to say?

I grew up in West Point Grey in the house next to Maureen’s family. Her parents were my Godparents. I knew her and her sisters well. I’m sorry she isn’t with us now, but admire the life she lived. She was a wonderful caring person.

I recalled that Maureen used to teach the boys in scout in Saskatoon while her sister Sheila was my Brownie leader. Had nice shopping and lunch with her sometimes after she gave her car away.
Miss her around and now she is resting.

Maureen was inspired to us all as being a Deaf leader for years and always remember her at the old JHS site. She worked with my mother before I was born and again in the 70's. Also she was the family friend for years and lived close to my grandparents. Sid and I was invited to her place last year for an afternoon cookies and tea, we will cherish this moments together. She will be missed. Rest in peace Maureen and we will always remember you.

Ms. Maureen Donald - she was one of my favorite teachers; even if she was not my teacher. She always welcomed me into her classroom with her warmth smile to discuss newspaper clippings that she had shared with her cherished students before classes started. Memories with her are the legacy of love by deaf communities all across Canada. Theresa, JHS - the class of 1978
