I had the pleasure of working with your mom for many years at the Attorney General's Office. She was a very talented lawyer with a kind heart and generous spirit who always took the time to get to know those she worked with on a personal level. I appreciate the respect that she showed everyone - attorneys and staff alike - and I am grateful for the opportunity to have known her. My sincere condolences on your loss. I pray that your fond memories will be a comfort to your family during...

Maureen was my first boss at the Legal Aid Bureau. She took a chance on a young law student and encouraged me (and others) to passionately advocate for our clients. She was a mentor and supporter even once she left Legal Aid. I am forever grateful for the guidance she provided me early in my professional life. My condolences to her family.

I met Maureen Dove during her first appointment as Asst. Attorney General at the (then) Maryland Office on Aging (OoA). Her participation as a young student in rally's and other advocacy efforts to protect the civil rights of underserved populations, her Georgetown and University of MD degrees, as well as her prior attorney work for Legal Aid for the elderly, provided just the right ‘edge’ needed to successfully advocate for seniors statewide; particularly in the areas we worked together....

Maureen used her law degree to better the world. She was a dedicated public servant, a good friend, a wonderful mentor. She
helped me on numerous occasions and was a great role model for me.
The world could use more people like Maureen. My deepest condolences.

Dear Stephen and Kirsten:
Your mom was one of my earliest legal mentors. Going back to the late 1980's, she was generous with her time and protective of me with our strong adversaries. You were young teens when I started my family and she guided me there too. Although Maureen and I lost touch as the years moved on, I hope that knowing how she touched and shaped others is a comfort to you both and to your extended family.
Fondly, Sharon Krevor-Weisbaum

Maureen Dove was an extraordinary woman, a great lawyer, a wonderful friend. I miss her very much. Over the years we worked well together, with passion and commitment. Maureen was highly respected among her colleagues, providing a shining example of the best in lawyering. Underscoring all that Maureen achieved in her stellar career was a profound belief that law should support humanity and promote civil rights. And she shared this with the many, many she mentored. "Deep peace of the shining...
