I remember meeting Maureen in 1996 when I landed myself in the hospital with a severe case of pneumonia. Her daughter, who happened to be my next door neighbor, had rushed me to the hospital, and it so happened she was working the floor I was on as a nurse. She stopped by to visit me when I was feeling really ill and cheered me right up. She really had that effect on people she met, at work, or at home. Maureen was larger than life. She will be really missed.
