Dear Mike,
I am so very sorry...I just cannot believe that this sweet soul has been taken from earth so soon. I have the very best memories of Maureen-she was the Assistant Nurse Manager at JSMC when I started on nights. Always smiling, always helping, always being the protective mother hen-I knew she'd be right there for any of us if we needed help! So sorry to hear Maureen had to leave so soon...Love to your family Mike...

Hirtes Family,
You have all touched our hearts deeply while Ian was on our unit in the NICU. I have such a great admiration for Maureen and for what her life has meant to sooo many people. Know that she will be deeply missed and we will all forever be there for your family if you ever need anything.
God bless you all as you go through this very difficult time.
Kim Mandato, NICU nurse

Mike and Family-

I recall being in your home giving the older children piano lessons and finding myself in awe of Maureen's patience, dedication, and love for her children and their individual needs. I watched your older children help out with the younger ones and know they will become wonderful parents one day. I admired the two of you for raising such...

Mike and family, we are saddened to learn of your loss. Maureen provided comfort to many, and we hope the thoughts and prayers from all she touched will console your family during this difficult time. Our condolences to you all, Andy & Carrie Treinen

Our hearts are heavy at the loss of our neice Maureen. We watched her grow from a sweet little girl into a beautiful and kind woman full of love for her wonderful family. She brought happiness to everyone she met. She is now in heaven with her father and I am sure they will watch over all of you. My prayers are with you Michael and all your beautiful children. We will miss her but always remember her.
