Read MoreI met Maureen in the early 1980s when we were both involved in the Oak Lawn Business and Professional Women's Club. We attended a conference in St. Louis.
Maureen was a lovely person. I enjoyed her company during the years we belonged to Oak Lawn BPW.
I watched her political career with great interest.
Maureen will be missed.

My husband and sons worked together with Maureen on a number of elections. The thing that I most remember about her was her strong pro-life stance. She spoke for unborn babies that could not speak for themselves. She did not waver when it came to her moral convictions. It is a quality that few politicians have in today's political climate. Maureen was a servant of God first and foremost. I am glad that I had the chance to know her even if it was only for a short time.
