Read MoreI was very saddened and shocked to learn of the passing of Maureen. Both my daughter and I met her in Petco two years ago accompanied by her pet, Alfie. She was a pleasant and very nice person and can't believe this is true. I hope she wasn't made to suffer long and may she rest in peace. Our love and sympathy to her family and pet. She will be sorely missed.

Dear Kath and Billy, Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you. As hard as this time is, try to take comfort in the fact that she did her penance on earth during the past 5 mos. and is resting in the Father's embrace! There are so many fond memories we have of the fun times we had during our many years as friends, and Maureen's prophetic words back in January 1963 in your basement on Park Terrace: "Barbara and Jack in future years, bored to tears with each other"! She was half right!...
