Not sure what to say?

Heather and the Read family,
Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Mrs. Read was like a mother to me while I grew up in the house behind her on hyacinth. I have many fond memories of drinking tea and talking. she shared her india treasures with me for school projects and was always a shoulder and comfortable presence when my own home life was difficult. she watched over myself and my brothers as if we were her own. I have treasured her as my second mother and will always remember her fondly. Mrs. Read I loved you dearly, you will never know what an...

Thelma, Jan (my mother), Katherine (me), and Maureen-2006

Maureen was such a dear person. She was one of my mother's best friends for many, many years, and therefore in my life, too. She was such a great friend to my Mother.
Maureen's clear thinking, passionate opinions and lively sense of humor will be missed by many of us. I'm not sure how my mother will endure "tea time" without her.
Jennifer, Wendy and Heather, my sincere condolences to you in the loss of your fabulous Mom!

With love and sadness,
Katherine (Jan's daughter)

I was so sorry to hear about Maureen. I had just met (and played against her) in tennis a couple weeks ago. She was an amazing tennis player and so kind and sweet. I only hope that when I am 84, I can be as active and happy as she was.
My sympathies go out to her entire family.

May Jehovah God comfort you all at this difficult time.

Jennifer,
I'm saddened by the death of your mother. It is a major event to lose one's mother. I still think of mine daily. My thoughts are with you and your family. Beth

I was privileged to be a neighbor of Mr. and Mrs. Read for many years on Cloverdale and they were friends of my parents. Mrs. Read was a great person who loved her family and life. Our deepest sympathies to her family and friends.

Brooks and Maureen were wonderful friends. We admired them both. Maureen worked for us for a short spell, she was a delight, efficient with a great attitude. Our sympathy to her family.

Maureen had an energy that was contagious and a love for tennis and life that was amazing. Her mind was so sharp and she had a wonderful sense of humor. I will surely miss her. God Bless Maureen.
