Of all the teachers I ever had she was the best! We knew her as Miss Donovan. I was eight years old and had really had terrible handwriting (still do ). It was the third grade And was constantly getting in trouble in first and second grade for not doing my home work I figured it was better to get in trouble for not doing my homework then having My homework being held up in front of the class have kids laugh at me. I’m so sorry to hear about Maureen’s passing. Maureen was my supervising teacher at PS 13 when I was a student teacher. That was a long time ago but I have never forgotten her as she was such a wonderful mentor. When we crossed paths over the years, she would always recognize me and we would chat as if it was only yesterday we last saw each other. She was a special person. My condolences to your family during this time.
