Not sure what to say?

Thank you for the great photo of the SIsters and their beloved pets. The ecosystem at Manresa was sacred and enthralling before destruction.

I am so sorry to read about the passing of Sr. Maureen. She taught me in Arvida for grades 6 and 7 and then saw me through for my first years at Mount St Vincent Academy in 1964-65 in Halifax. A beautiful person and a friend from home. To me she was always SAM (Sr Ann Marian) the nickname the students in her class called her. She remained a family friend to my parents until their passing. Her love of animals was a shared interest and gift. She was also a very gifted pianist who brought...

We are deeply sorry to hear that Sister Maureen has passed away. A beloved friend for many years when we visited the retreat at Mount Manresa in Staten Island, she will be missed. It is because of her that we are happily married and she will always have a special place in our hearts. Our love to Sister Graz who we also have known for many years and was a dearly beloved friend of Sister Maureen. May God always look over you all.

Sister Maureen was the pinnacle of love and acceptance with no judgement. The retreats at Mount Manresa were among the deepest, most sacred moments of my life. Her guided meditations were like no other and opened the door to life's precious riches within myself. I will be forever grateful for her guidance and wisdom. She was a true leader of spiritual understanding. She and Father King were life lines for me at Mount Manresa during periods of my life in 1980's - 90's. May she bask in...

Sister Maureen was a forward thinking woman who revitalized Mount Manresa women´s retreats with tai chi and reiki healing. She had a good sense of humor and was a strong community leader, sharing her anguish about the needless destruction of the pristine Mount Manresa site with its historic trees, buildings and legacy as the first Jesuit retreat center in the USA. Thank you, Sr Maureen, for being a role model and for your music ministry. Sister also planned and performed a wedding anniversary...
