I graduated OLPH in 1978 and Mrs. Vaccaro as one of my teachers. My condolences to her family and she will be in my prayers. She was a gifted teacher and well liked!

I was lucky enough to have her as my teacher at OLPH. I think she gave me my first real feeling as a writer. She naturally made a space for moral enthusiasm, as if to be "good" was an inspirational possibility. Because kindness & strength of character were some of her own gifts, she made these qualities attractive to her students, her community, the people-Kids back then-with whom she spent her days.
