Maureen Louise Rooney Voorhees

Maureen was, without question, one of the kindest and most giving person I've known. I worked with Maureen at Greenhills School and admired her for her enthusiasm with students, faculty and parents and her ability to get so many involved with her projects. Best mom to her kids and their friends, Maureen welcomed them all. She could bring a smile and a laugh to all of us. My thoughts go to John, her children and grandchildren.

Maureen & I worked together at the StA BClub; occasionally, she & I & a couple other friends would go out, too. Maureen´s warmth, intelligence & humor would make my day - always a delight. Condolences to her children & grands; you´ve lost a real gem. Gerri Barr

She was the ultimate community builder! I tried to fill her shoes as Director of Development at Greenhills. Did my best but she was amazing. Booster support, the Yearbook, PR, Advisory and then her other responsibilities. Always positive, funny and giving. What an impact! My heart goes out to her family as they face this deep loss. I make the soup recipe Maureen gave me so Many years ago when we were both at Greenhills.My kids and gkids call it "the Christmas soup". Every time I make it I think of Maureen and the joy she spread wherever she went. She was such a gift ..........Carmel Borders
