Dr. Maurice Albin was the greatest influence and role model in my choice of career and in my choice of how to conduct my professional and personal life. He was a father figure when I was newly far from my own family, a mentor, teacher, counselor, academic guide, and a friend. I have thought of him so frequently in the 33 years since I left his "nest" to launch my own career.
